Public spaces embody the structure of our public domain. So let's pay attention to what we do with them. The outer skin of our buildings together with the horizontal texture of alleyways, streets, lanes and squares determine quite emphatically how we will feel out there. I firmly believe in applying nature in its most archaic form to our façades and courtyards. The outcome is better air quality, noise reduction, less urban heating, improved biodiversity and last but not least a better climate inside buildings. Why not do this? Bosco Verticale revisited.

This is what I like to see (a green façade).
Two bat boxes mounted on an inner city pointed gable roof. It costs next to nothing and works miracles for urban ecology.
